Mile High Starting Pitcher Hurt
Saturday, October 15th, 2033
When Alejandro Zorros was hurt against the Eureka Hornets, the Mile High Mustangs were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 25-year-old starting pitcher suffered a stretched elbow ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Zorros would miss 11 months of the season.
So far this year Zorros has made 29 starts, tossed 165.1 innings, struck out 115 batters and walked 52. His record is 12-7 with a 4.03 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .267 batting average.
