Johnston Sparkles in Shutout

Today was Paul Johnston's turn in the rotation for the Dallas Texans and he made the most of it, shutting out the Rubber City Rhinos on 2 hits.
The 30-year-old right-hander led the Texans to an easy 6-0 victory, allowing 2 walks and tallying 9 strikeouts.
"I hope we miss him next time," Rubber City manager Larry Johnson said. "Johnston certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
Taking a look at his season, Johnston has made no relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 14-13 won-lost mark and a 4.17 ERA. In pitching 198.1 innings, he has totaled 132 strikeouts and 48 walks.
