Zabel Day-to-Day with Injury Thursday, October 6th, 2033 So Cal's star first baseman Gerd Zabel injured himself in a game against the Dallas Texans, prompting the team to list him as day-to-day. The doctors are reporting the injury as a sore back and they say the best medicine is a short period of rest. "Hopefully I don't get replaced by some hotshot wannabe," said Zabel with a smile as he talked to reporters. This season Zabel is batting .297 with 157 hits, 35 home runs, 114 RBIs, 36 walks, .353 OBP and has scored 82 runs. He has played in 140 games. |
