Franco Misses Time with Day-to-Day Injury Friday, September 23rd, 2033 Is Fernando Franco going to tough it out and play through an injury? We'll get the chance to find out 2 weeks as the outstanding Bloomington shortstop attempts to shrug off a bruised collarbone he sustained making a defensive play against the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. Whether management lets him play or handles him with kid gloves will depend mostly on how Franco feels on a day-to-day basis. But there's little doubt that the Bloomington Blazers will be happy for the talented player to return at full strength as soon as possible. So far this season Franco is batting .282 with 26 home runs, 100 RBIs and 100 runs scored. He has 153 hits in 543 at-bats, 69 walks and a .364 OBP. Franco has played in 143 games. |
