Hernández Scorches Grays for 3 HR Thursday, September 22nd, 2033 The fans at The Death Star witnessed Jorge Hernández write his name into the league record book with three home runs, but the Kansas City Tornadoes still dropped the decision to the Georgia Grays 8-5. "I've always loved hitting in The Death Star," Hernández said, speaking with reporters after the game. "You can see the ball so well. I'm glad I got the homers, but three hits and a win would have been nicer." For the day, he collected 3 hits in 3 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBIs. Jorge Hernández hit a two-run home run off Dave Munier in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Dave Munier in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Yoshikazu Ichihara in the 8th. Thus far this year Hernández has hit .243 with 11 home runs and 47 RBIs. |
