RCL's Best Player Named Monday, August 22nd, 2033 The hottest bat of the week belonged to Columbus second baseman Jorge Rodríguez. He went on a rampage last week against RCL hurlers and rapped out 14 hits in 25 at-bats for a .560 average while hitting 2 home runs, driving in 7 runs and scoring 6 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week trophy. Rodríguez was honored today at a press conference. This year Rodríguez is hitting .291 with 13 home runs and 34 RBIs in 102 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .339 with 26 walks and 49 runs scored. |
