Ford Cracks 5 Hits Thursday, August 18th, 2033 No matter what the Quebec Armada threw at him today, Wayne Ford hit it. He easily handled Armada pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Hornets to a 9-3 triumph at The Nest. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Ford's quip, Armada skipper Jorge Morales said he "would take him up on that next time." Wayne Ford doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Morgan Tyson in the 8th.
