Vancouver-Quebec Fight Results in Suspensions Thursday, August 4th, 2033 Vancouver's Ruben Torres and Quebec's Minh-Duc Pamungkas have been handed 8-game suspensions for their parts in yesterday's upheaval at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. The teams were notified today that the suspensions would go into effect immediately. According to the league commissioner Torres and Pamungkas provoked and incited the brawl and bore the blame for what transpired. Thus far this season in 105 games Torres is batting .279 with 27 home runs, 61 RBIs and 68 runs scored. He has 113 hits in 405 at-bats. This season Minh-Duc Pamungkas has made no relief appearances, saving 0. His record is 6-6 with 28 strikeouts in 94.2 innings and a 4.37 ERA. |
