So Cal, Seattle Agree to Swap Friday, July 29th, 2033 So Cal and Seattle have agreed in principle to a trade. The Republic will send 38-year-old RF Adam Kerr, 37-year-old 2B Pablo Ríos, 21-year-old minor league SS Miguel Rosero and 22-year-old minor league LHP Mike Godin to the Sasquatch for 30-year-old 3B Kazuyoshi Takahashi and 26-year-old RHP George Fortin. The deal is expected to be finalized shortly and the clubs will be introducing their new players to the press when the paperwork is complete. Seattle will retain a portion of Takahashi's remaining contract. To date this year Ríos is batting .368 with no home runs. This year Takahashi has hit at a .301 clip with 63 RBIs, 21 home runs and 45 runs scored. |
