Rice, Allen Swap Clubs Monday, July 25th, 2033 The Jacks and the Hops finalized a deal this afternoon. Jacksonville has traded for 34-year-old RHP Kenny Allen, 21-year-old minor league RHP Phil Kettenring, 21-year-old minor league RHP Tim Gary and 20-year-old minor league RHP Jose Rios and in return San Diego will receive 30-year-old RHP Mai Do, 26-year-old 2B Bryce Rice, 35-year-old RF Jorge Moreno and 27-year-old CF Ian Riley. This year Rice is batting .285 with 103 hits, 1 home run, 35 RBIs, 13 walks, .318 OBP and has scored 42 runs. Allen has taken the mound for 24 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 0-3 record with a 6.75 ERA. The Jacksonville reliever has limited opposing batters to a .341 batting average. |
