It's Over: Bombers Stop Leeder Tuesday, July 19th, 2033 The South Carolina Bombers clamped down on Gerard Leeder and put a stop to his hit streak. He went without a hit, ending the run at 21 straight games, but it didn't keep the Marauders from winning. Maple downed the Bombers 8-7. "It was bound to happen," Leeder said with a shrug after the game. This year Leeder is hitting .304 with 15 home runs and 57 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .381 clip and scored 55 runs. |
