Dallas-Columbus Announce Deal Monday, July 11th, 2033 The Texans and Aces have been engaged in a little wheeling and dealing. They have just concluded a trade with 18-year-old minor league C Antonio Navarrette, 20-year-old minor league LF Ray Bailey, 21-year-old minor league SS José Medina, 22-year-old minor league CF Steve Pollard and 21-year-old minor league LHP Jimmy Shumaker going to Columbus in exchange for 31-year-old 2B Michael Fitzgerald. Columbus will retain a portion of Fitzgerald's remaining contract. For the season Fitzgerald has produced 96 hits in 302 at-bats for a .318 average with 16 home runs and gotten on base at a .353 clip. |
