Gerard Leeder Out 3 Weeks
Friday, May 13th, 2033
The Maple Marauders learned that Gerard Leeder is likely to be out for 3 weeks after he injured himself throwing the ball in today's game against the South Carolina Bombers. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a herniated disc. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Maple manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Gerard is back in action."

This season Leeder is swinging the bat at a .248 pace. He has hit 6 home runs and scored 24 times, while driving in 30. His on-base percentage is .343 and he has played in 39 games.
