San Diego's Kato to Miss 5-6 Weeks Wednesday, May 11th, 2033 The San Diego Hops will be minus Akira Kato for about 5-6 weeks after the second baseman suffered a sprained ankle while running the bases in a recent game against the Rubber City Rhinos. Kato and Hops skipper Randy England had been hoping the post-game examination would show less damage than originally thought. Kato is batting at a .274 pace this season, picking up 34 hits in 124 at-bats with 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and 16 runs scored. |
