South Carolina, San Diego Agree to Swap Saturday, March 26th, 2033 Done deal! The South Carolina Bombers have agreed to send 27-year-old RHP Gerardo Vela, 29-year-old RHP Prince Percival Papenfuss, 23-year-old minor league LHP Bob Fleury, 21-year-old minor league 2B Sean Hayward and 22-year-old minor league CF Jimmy Wynn to the San Diego Hops for 29-year-old 2B Jean-Claude Petit and 21-year-old minor league RHP Bobby Criss. The trade, rumored for days, was completed in the wee hours this morning. Over the course of his career, Vela has a won-lost record of 14 wins and 13 losses with 173 strikeouts in 226 innings pitched with a lifetime 4.62 ERA. His lifetime stats show that Petit has hit .335 and connected for 230 home runs. |
