Brett Howery Hired to Shake Things Up as New General Manager of Jacksonville Jacks

At least that was the mood of the press conference when it was announced that Brett Howery would be the new GM of the Jacksonville Jacks. Team owners and fans are really enthused about the signing and are looking forward to the upcoming season.
"I'm very honored to be working for the fans of Jacksonville. We have several questions to resolve, and a wholesale team assessment to perform, along with time constraints to consider," Brett Howery told reporters at the press conference. "Baseball is a year-round job these days, and I'm fortunate to be working with the Jacks ownership."

Dallas Texans Ship Yoshino to Columbus

Officials for Dallas confirmed that they have traded 25-year-old minor league RHP Edwin Crespin, 33-year-old minor league SS Haruki Yoshino, 22-year-old minor league 2B David Kopacki, 22-year-old minor league SS Bob Hern and $8,000,000 in cash to the Columbus Aces. In return, the Texans will receive 25-year-old RHP Aurelien Bonello.
In his career Yoshino has racked up 690 hits with a .264 average and .328 on-base percentage. His numbers include 117 doubles, 2 triples, and 94 home runs, along with 316 runs scored and 340 RBIs.
Bonello has collected 10 wins and 19 losses over his career with a 4.64 ERA. The 25-year-old hurler also has struck out 261 batters in 320.1 innings and allowed 332 hits.

Kansas City Tornadoes, Beavers Agree to Trade

A trade between Kansas City and Portland was made official this morning. The Tornadoes have sent 21-year-old minor league CF Ken Baker to the Beavers in exchange for 21-year-old minor league RHP Hiroo Okimura, 33-year-old RHP Pedro Pérez and 30-year-old RF Ellis Stockdale.
In 638 career games, Stockdale has put up a .265 average, collected 73 doubles, 5 triples, and 86 home runs, driven in 266 runs, and scored 288 times.
