Panthers Lose to Tigers in Walk Off
|
The Pitman High Panthers got a sterling performance from pitcher Travis Cloud, but the Tigers still prevailed, 3-2. Cloud was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of shutout ball. Tioga Central has an impressive 31-14 record.
The Tigers got a big at-bat from second baseman Vic Nicholas. For the game, Nicholas went 1 for 2 with a double. In the bottom of the 11th, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Tioga Central a 3-2 lead.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Nicholas said.
