Warhawks Get Road Win, 4-2
|
The Seminole Warhawks racked up a win at Guadalajara HS Grounds, bumping off the Billings West Golden Bears, 4-2. Dustin Campeau, who started for Seminole, pitched effectively for his team. The Warhawks, at 16-28, sit in last place in the Hank Aaron League Willie Mays Division.
The Warhawks got a big at-bat from shortstop Matt Pope. For the game, Pope was 1 for 3 with a double. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 11th double of the season gave Seminole a 2-1 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Seminole manager Rich Nolin.
