Dallas Texans starter Paul Johnston was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Portland Beavers, 2-0. Adrien Clément notched his 16th save in 21 chances. The losses continue to mount for Portland, which has now dropped 6 in a row.

The Texans got a big at-bat from center fielder Tsunayoshi Ito. For the game, Ito was 1-2 with a hit by pitch. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 61st hit of the season gave Dallas a 1-0 lead.
