Poly Jolt Patriots with Late Rally

Riverside withstood an impressive performance by George Washington designated hitter T.J. Hall to defeat the Patriots, 5-3, at Osprey Ballpark. Hall was 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. John Radtke earned the win to go to 1-3. He allowed 2 earned runs on 9 hits, with 6 walks and 6 strikeouts. The Poly bumped their record to 24-20 with this latest triumph.
The Poly got a big at-bat from left fielder Danny Beatty. For the game, Beatty went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Riverside a 5-2 lead.
Beatty called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
