Allison Helps Panthers Run Win Streak to 4
The Pleasantville Panthers downed the Canby Lancers, 14-6, at Ballpark of Villahermosa HS. Bruce Allison led the way, going 1-for-3 for Pleasantville. The win was Will Kearns's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kelly Jayne took the loss for Canby. The first-place Panthers have won 4 straight.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the seventh inning when the Panthers sent teenager Kikaku Nishimoto to the plate against Lancers hurler Jason Kinder. With the bases loaded and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a single off a 2-0 fastball to score 2.

"This was a good win for us," said Allison. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
