Blues Win in Glorious Fashion
|
It was pandemonium at Oranges Ballpark after an exciting walk-off win.
Tioga Central pitcher Ranger Elliott gave the Blues all they could handle, but in the end, Central Tech left Oranges Ballpark with a 8-5 win. Elliott allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits over 5 innings. Central Tech reliever Aaron Buckley picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Brad Howard took the loss.
David Young chipped in for Central Tech with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 11th. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
Young expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
The Blues bumped their record to 24-19 with this latest triumph.
