Mustangs Blanked by Williams
|
Sebastian Williams held the San Marin Mustangs to 7 hits and fashioned a fine 9-0 shutout at Silvertips Ballpark today.
Speaking after the game, George Washington Patriots manager Frank Robles said "Williams had everything going for him today."
He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement," he said. "He was masterful."
Williams rung up 10 strikeouts and surrendered 1 walk in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," San Marin manager Marcus Piscitelli told reporters.
This year Williams has recorded a 1-5 mark. In 9 starts he has fanned 35 batters in 43 innings with a 8.16 ERA.
