Victory Over Warhawks Takes Montreal to 28-14
Montreal and Seminole duked it out at Attack Ballpark and the Cardinals came out victorious.

Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Jim Goudeau, the Montreal Cardinals defeated the Seminole Warhawks, 7-4. Goudeau was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Cardinals. Steve Mauger went 8.2 innings for Montreal to pick up the win. The left-hander was charged with 3 earned runs. He scattered 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. His record improves to 3-1. Butch Haynes finished to wrap up his 11th save.

Goudeau had a key at-bat for Montreal early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 9th double of the season and gave Montreal an early 2-0 lead.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Goudeau said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The Cardinals have an impressive 28-14 record.
