Islanders Solve Park, 6-3
|
Behind a solid performance from third baseman Andy Critch, the Grand Island Islanders defeated the College Park, 6-3. Critch went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Islanders. College now has a 5-game losing streak.
Critch had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 circle change from Josh Donovan, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Islanders a 4-3 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Critch.
Critch told a Grand Island Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
