Horton goes 3-for-5 in Islanders Win
The Grand Island Islanders topped the Jacksonville State Jaguars, 14-5, with youngster Brian Horton playing a key role. Horton was 3-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for the Islanders in the win. Justin Sullins earned the win for Grand Island. He lasted 7.2 innings, allowing 5 earned runs on 9 hits, while striking out 11. With the win, he raised his record to 5-3. The Islanders bumped their record to 21-16 with this latest triumph.

Horton contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Grand Island in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 3-2, Horton took a fastball from Nate Salak and stroked the double to right-center. His 8th double of the season allowed the Islanders to leap in front, 4-3.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Horton said.
