It was a good time at Ballpark of Morelia HS, where fans came to watch the Jacksonville State Jaguars and Grand Island Islanders get after it.
Grand Island Islanders starter Tim Johnson was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Jacksonville State Jaguars, 6-2. The Islanders bumped their record to 20-16 with this latest triumph.
Andy Critch, who is tied for 9th in the HAL in RBI with 31, chipped in for Grand Island with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Johnson told reporters after the game.
