Lancers Solve Mustangs, 6-3
|
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Isaac Chester, the Canby Lancers defeated the Downsview Mustangs, 6-3. Chester went 3-3 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Lancers. The Lancers bumped their record to 19-13 with this latest triumph.
Chester contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Canby in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Chester took a fastball from Josh Cargill and stroked the home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Lancers to leap in front, 2-1.
Chester told a Canby Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
