Panthers Subdue Grand Island, 5-4

Batfish Ballpark was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Pitman High Panthers and the Grand Island Islanders.
Pitman High pinch hitter David Greer made his presence felt in the 5-4 Panthers triumph over the Grand Island Islanders. Greer went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Pitman High reliever Cesar Flores picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. J.D. Lindsey took the loss.
Greer had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-0 fastball from J.D. Lindsey, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Panthers a 5-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Greer.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Greer told the Pitman High Daily News.
The Panthers now own a record of 13-17.
