Beavers Lose to Texans, 3-1
|
The Dallas Texans defeated the Portland Beavers, 3-1, in Roberto Clemente League action at Metroplex Park, with Dallas pitcher Dan Edwards named player of the game. The Beavers, at 39-44, have lost 4 in a row.
Dave Stoner, who is tied for 7th in the RCL in runs scored with 52, aided the Dallas cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
