Lancers Rough Up Cardinals, Take 25-2 Win
The Canby Lancers defeated the Montreal Cardinals, 25-2, at Ballpark of Villahermosa HS today. Leading the charge for Canby was right fielder Gabriel Bolten. He slugged 3 home runs. He scored 5 runs and drove in 6. Shane Rhinehart picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-2. He struck out 9 in 6.2 innings. Canby has now won 3 in a row.

When the Lancers needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Bolten who delivered. Facing Montreal pitcher Andy Robotti the bottom of the first with a runner on 1st, Bolten hit his 6th home run of the year. It made the score 4-0.

"Getting beat like that is never fun," said losing manager Hector Corretjer.
