The San Marin Mustangs picked up a win at Silvertips Ballpark, knocking off the Jacksonville State Jaguars, 4-3. Starting pitcher Ron Mabie, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Mabie got the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed 7 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. Mabie allowed 3 earned runs. Iestyn Milward earned his 4th save in 8 tries.

Alex Resendez aided the San Marin cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman was 1-4.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Resendez.

The Mustangs now have a record of 11-17 with the win over Jacksonville State.
