Hawks Drop Marines with Late Score
Fukuoka SoftBank and Chiba Lotte duked it out at Ballpark of Nasu College and the Hawks came out victorious.

Benefiting from Feng-yi Man's productive game, the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks downed the Chiba Lotte Marines, 6-5. Man went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Hawks. Fukuoka SoftBank reliever Hitoshi Takahashi was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Wen-bin Marmon took the loss for Chiba Lotte. The save was Tatsuro Tanaka's, his 2nd.

Had Man not come through in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Man drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Hawks never looked back after taking the 6-5 lead.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Man said.

Losses have been few and far between for the Marines so far this season. Their record drops to 8-3.
