Swallows Continue Skid Thanks to Kym, Giants

The Yomiuri Giants topped the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, 10-3, with youngster Sang-ton Kym playing a key role. Kym went 2-2 with a double and 3 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Giants in the win. Reliever Goro Tanaka picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Edolf Neels took the loss. Yomiuri has a mark of 4-4 after the win.
Yasushi Hagiwara, who is rated as the 63rd best prospect by BNN, helped out the Yomiuri cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"It feels good to get this one," Hagiwara told the Yomiuri Daily.
