11-5 Win by Lions Continues Hot Start
|
With designated hitter Yuudai Fujimori leading the charge, the Saitama Seibu Lions defeated the Chiba Lotte Marines, 11-5, at Field of the Chariots. Fujimori, who is rated as the 74th best prospect by BNN, went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Losses have been few and far between for the Marines so far this season. Their record drops to 5-2.
Akiharu Kochi aided the Saitama Seibu cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Kochi said after the game.
