Tigers Win at Tokyo Yakult, 4-2
|
Hanshin and Tokyo Yakult duked it out at Rebels Ballpark and the Tigers came out victorious.
Tigers first baseman Naoto Kajiwara put his stamp on his team's 4-2 win over the Tokyo Yakult Swallows. Kajiwara went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Hanshin in the contest. The win gives Hanshin a record of 2-2.
Kajiwara had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-1 fastball from Dae Che, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Tigers a 3-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Kajiwara.
When asked about his performance after the game, Kajiwara said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
