Ehrich Weiss pitched a gem to lead Hawaii to a 4-1 victory over the Columbus Aces. Bernalldo Rocchi, credited with the save, is now 19 for 22 in save opportunities. The Islanders bumped their record to 48-32 with this latest triumph.

Weiss subdued the Columbus offense. The Hawaii right-hander allowed a mere 3 hits over 8 innings, while fanning 9. His season record goes to 5-4 with the win.

"Ehrich's tempo and rhythm were good," said Islanders manager Leland Ray. "He was the key to us winning."
