Black Knights Come Back Late to Clip Armada
The Brooklyn Black Knights dealt the Quebec Armada a 8-7 loss at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Todd McCarthy was the star on offense. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Brooklyn reliever Chang-wei Zhou picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Baldassario Ardinghi shouldered the loss. The third-place Black Knights have won 5 consecutive games.

The Black Knights got a big at-bat from shortstop Tony Gómez. For the game, Gómez was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Brooklyn a 8-6 lead.
