Sumner hits 2 home runs, Blues Move to 16-10
A nice crowd turned out to see the Central Tech Blues and Jefferson Indians clash at Ballpark of Monterrey HS.

Jim Sumner was instrumental in his team's 8-2 triumph over the Jefferson Indians. The designated hitter went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk for the Central Tech Blues. The Blues have an impressive 16-10 record.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the top of the fifth inning. That's when center fielder Tim Mohr, who is tied for 8th in the HAL in bases on balls with 19, got hit by a pitch. The Blues went on to win.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Dan Miller.
