Poly Score Late to Upend Warhawks, 4-3

Both teams had their chances, but the Riverside Poly eventually prevailed at Attack Ballpark.
The Seminole Warhawks got a superb performance from pitcher Jonathan Gilberds. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Riverside. The Poly won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Gilberds was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Riverside has a 8-game win streak, while Seminole has lost 4 in a row.
Jesus Mendoza swatted a 2-run double for Riverside in the top of the ninth. The center fielder went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
"I like our mindset right now," said Riverside manager Gary Corwin.
