Mustangs Fall Short at Riverside
|
Right-hander John Radtke mesmerized the Downsview Mustangs while leading the Riverside Poly to a 1-0 victory. Jamie Boles picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Jayden Palmer was tagged with the loss. Downsview's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Joey Adair was the walk-off hero for Riverside. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Poly catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Afterward, Poly manager Gary Corwin was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
