Lions Lose, 4-2, at Zebras Ballpark
|
Zebras Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Lerna Lions and Carl Albert Titans.
The Carl Albert Titans topped the Lerna Lions, 4-2, in Hank Aaron League action at Zebras Ballpark. The player of the game was Carl Albert pitcher and Calgary, Canada native Forbes Raynor. The winning pitcher was Raynor, now 3-1. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8. Matthew Miller locked down his 5th save.
The Titans beat the Lions with some clutch hitting. The single by Taylor Rounsville in the bottom of the fourth is a good example. With two down, Rounsville gave his team the lead, 2-1, when he came through with the big hit.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Rounsville.
Carl Albert is now 8-12, while Lerna is 9-11.
