Panthers Jolt Patriots with Late Rally
|
Pleasantville overcame a superlative game from Katsutoshi Kawano to beat Francis Lewis, 4-3. The Francis Lewis pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball. The winner was Danny LaTour in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Tommy Burhoe took the loss. The Panthers bumped their record to 11-8 with this latest triumph.
Devin Berry had a nice at-bat for the Panthers with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the pinch hitter got hit by a pitch, which would prove important in the Pleasantville win.
"Put a star next to this win," Berry said.
