Tight Tilt Goes to Blues, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Central Tech Blues and the George Washington Patriots, Brad Henderson was the difference-maker. The Central Tech right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. Mike McGill was credited with the save for Central Tech, his 5th of the season. Central Tech has a 4-game win streak, while George Washington has lost 4 in a row.
A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Blues sent 18-year-old first baseman Moises Salazar to the plate with runners on 1st and 3rd. The youngster shook off the pressure and reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run, to put Central Tech on top, 3-2.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Frank Robles.
