Behind a solid performance from left fielder Danny Beatty, the Riverside Poly defeated the Lerna Lions, 12-3. Beatty was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Poly. The Poly bumped their record to 10-9 with this latest triumph.

Early in the game, designated hitter Justin Smolenski had a 2-run single for Riverside. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Poly on top, 5-3.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Beatty told the Riverside Daily News.
