Riverside got a strong outing from Chris Anderson as the Poly defeated the Tioga Central Tigers, 4-2, at Alleycats Ballpark. Anderson got the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3 over 6.2 innings. Anderson allowed 2 earned runs. The Poly bumped their record to 9-9 with this latest triumph.
Ken Kinch aided the Riverside cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Kinch.
