Getting an impressive start from Josh Donovan, College beat Pitman High by the score of 4-2. The winning pitcher was Donovan, now 2-1. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 6 and fanning 11. Clint Vollmer earned the save, his 1st, for the Park.
Mark Rutledge drew 2 walks for College. The 18-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Fernando Ramos. It was his 9th walk of the season.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Pitman High skipper Juan Lopez, "and it cost us."
College now sits at 7-8, while Pitman High falls to 8-7.
