Zacharias has 5 RBI as Jaguars Squeeze Past Seminole

The Jacksonville State Jaguars beat the Seminole Warhawks, 6-5, at Attack Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Erik Zacharias, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The 4th-place Jaguars are now 6-9, the Warhawks 6-9.
Zacharias contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Jacksonville State in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, Zacharias took a fastball from Kyle Mitchell and stroked the home run to right. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Jaguars to leap in front, 4-2.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Jaguars manager Jeromy Hager. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
