Tigers Lose, 8-2, at Ottawa HS Grounds
|
Francis Lewis right-hander Katsutoshi Kawano made an effective start against the Tenafly Tigers at Ottawa HS Grounds, leading his team to a 8-2 win. Tommy Burhoe was credited with the save for Francis Lewis, his 4th of the season. Francis Lewis is now 9-5, 2½ games up in the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Tommy Burhoe didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and Tenafly trailing 4-2, Burhoe retired Logan Melton to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Burhoe, with a wink.
