Willoughby Lays Hammer Down in 2-0 Win
Santa Clara Vampires starter Geoff Willoughby was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Lerna Lions, 2-0. The Lions fall to 6-7 and continue their uneasy start to the 2033 season.

In his 119-pitch effort, Willoughby allowed no earned runs on 8 hits over 8 innings. He walked 2 and struck out 14.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Santa Clara manager Juan Proenza said.
